The music is excellent, but the soft pieces should have been on one (or two) of the CDs with the loud ones on others--I kept having to change the volume all the time, which is tiresome. The talking and lift off sounds as regards Apollo 13 were unnecessary and annoying. I doubt that I would have purchased this set had I been able to hear it all at one time.
In other words, you know this collection is a winner. 4 Cds for under $25.00.
Eric Kunzel and The Cincinatti Pops Orchestra take the listener on a fantastic musical journey. This is simply a superb collection of movie music.
The recording is pristine, the music is involving, and the price for all of this entertainment is very, very reasonable. Close your eyes and listen as the music spirits you away to the imaginary world of the cinema.
This collection was just what I was looking for in a movie music package. There isn't a bad cut in the package.I am the 11th reviewer of this collection - all 5 star ratings.
Buy it, sit back, and enjoy the fantastic music offered to you in this collection.
Bought this for my parents. They have enjoyed it and even though you may not like the movie, the music is generally good. A lot of music for the money.
Absolutely Amazing. The Ultimate Movie Music Collection is exactly what the name says. The only thing I wish was that there was more Disney Movie Scores on it. An amazing job done by the Cincinnati Pop Orchestra and a CD I listen to almost daily. Some of the songs are just so powerful that you have to listen to them on the best sound system you have nice and loud and just close your eyes and get swept away. Oh Well. If you love movie music and movie scores, the CD collection is for you. It is a wonderful collection of both dramatic and relaxing movie music. I could listen to it over and over again - AND I DO.
